To integrate an Onchat chatbot into your Shopify store, log in to your Onchat account to create and configure the chatbot. If you don't have an Onchat account yet, you can easily create one for free. Train your chatbot by adding relevant data sources, whether from your website or by inputting plain text content.

 

Adding the chatbot to your store

To embed your chatbot on your Shopify store, simply visit the Onchat Shopify App and click the "Install" button.

 

 

You will need to grant the necessary permissions.

 

 

To add the chatbot, follow these steps:

1. Select the theme 

Select a theme to add your OnChat chatbot

 

2. Select the app
Go to your themes customization and click the App embeds icon the the left panel. Then, look for the OnChat app using the search feature.

 

 

3. Add bot id
Select the app and input your OnChat chatbot ID. To find your chatbot ID login into your OnChat Dashboard and visit the My Package menu!

 

 

4. Enable or disable the app
Enable or disable your chatbot by toggling the switch, and then click the "Save" and "Publish" buttons positioned at the top right corner of your theme customization page.

 

 

 

Enable e-commerce features to your chatbot

Enable your virtual assistant to handle real-time inquiries about orders by navigating to the “Online Store” menu on your Onchat dashboard. Then, click the “Connect” button next to the Shopify logo.

 

 

And add the name of your Shopify store. Ensure to include the myshopify.com subdomain of your store, not the custom domain.
